Upload a PDF and the tool renders the real first page with PDF.js — the same engine behind Firefox's built-in PDF viewer — then overlays your watermark on top of it at the exact position, rotation, and opacity it will be drawn at when you apply it. Drag the opacity slider, change the color, switch position from Center to Tile, and the overlay updates instantly against your actual document, not a placeholder rectangle. What you see before clicking apply is what ends up in the downloaded file.
Five one-click presets cover the common cases without touching a single slider: Confidential and Draft as large diagonal stamps, Sample for demo documents, Approved as a small banner near the top, and Copy tiled in a repeating grid across the whole page to make the mark harder to crop out.

Switch between a text watermark and an uploaded PNG or JPG logo using the mode toggle — both share the same opacity, rotation, and position controls, so a company logo gets the exact same placement options as a CONFIDENTIAL stamp: Center, Top, Bottom, or Tile, which repeats the mark in a 3×4 grid across the page instead of placing it once. You can also restrict the stamp to specific pages with a custom range like 1-3, 5 instead of watermarking every page in the document.
Need to stamp more than one file? Add several PDFs before applying — each one gets watermarked with the same settings, and if you've added more than one, the tool zips every output together into a single download instead of triggering a separate save dialog per file.
The preview render, the watermark placement math, and the final PDF save all run client-side — the preview uses PDF.js to draw the page, and the actual watermarking uses pdf-lib to embed text or an image directly into the PDF's page content. Your document and your logo are read into memory and never sent anywhere; there's no upload progress bar because there's no upload. Close the tab and nothing of your file remains anywhere but the ZIP or PDF you just downloaded.
Try it on your next internal report, contract draft, or client deliverable with the SolveBar PDF Watermark tool — stamp CONFIDENTIAL on a draft before it goes out, brand a proposal with your logo, or tile COPY across a document you're sharing for review.
